Career Resource Centre has public computers with high speed Internet
access to assist you in your search for employment. If unemployed
this service is free.
All
you have to do is sign in at the front desk to access a computer.
If
you are not sure what job or career you are best suited to, we
can help. The CRC uses several highly recognized assessment
tools to help you explore your vocational interests and
determine your academic ability.
The
MBTI® is probably the most popular self-insight psychological
assessment in use today, with at least a million people per
year completing it. It is widely used in business, industry,
educational settings, and government because of its assumed
ability to capture people's interests, needs, and values.
The
Strong Interest Inventory® is used to help you understand
your interests in a general way and to show some kinds of
activities and work that you might enjoy. It lists many jobs,
activities, school subjects, and you are asked to show your
liking or disliking for each.
The
CAAT test (nationally recognized) provides the means to
measure your academic ability in several areas. If you have
been out of school for some time, it's a great way to test
your knowledge!
